Temples treated with a thermoplastic polymer tip ensure a secure fit and spring hinges finish the seamless temple transition. Elegant attitude. Attache Phenom: Subtle style meets high performance in the Attache collection. The Phenom design features a frame made of lightweight Mg-Al alloy treated to a rich anodized finish. And treat yourself to added comfort with adjustable nose pads and resilient spring hinges -- perfect for people who need to put on and remove their glasses frequently. i-FI lens coatings: i-Fi lens coatings filter and protect. Our proprietary nano-filters help capture all of the good light coming from the computer screen while diffusing the bad reflective light and glare. The outer coating provides a protective layer that shields the lens from scratching, abrasion, and oxidation damage. fRACTYL lens geometry: Computer generated fRACTYL lens geometry mimics nature through advanced science and engineering. Aiding the natural focusing power of the cornea, our lens geometry eases eyestrain caused by near distance computer viewing. fRACTYL lens geometry uses independently curved front and back surfaces to provide unparalleled distortion-free optics. Fused with Gunnar frames, the tightly arced lenses form a personal ocular microclimate that prevents dry eyes. iONik lens tints: iONik lens tints take harsh artificial light and precisely tune it to match the anatomy of the eye. Our custom organic dye compounds condition and shift transmitted light into the preferred color spectrum, increasing visual contrast, detail and resolution. Edges of screen pixilated images read more easily and interfering blue light is reduced -- ultimately your eyes are less fatigued. diAMIX lens material: DiAMIX is the next generation of lens materials for those that demand the highest optical qualities. | | | Features: | |

Great glassesMay 02, 2010 I bought these glasses several months ago because the harsh florescent light in the office bothers my eyes. I have several large cloudy spots in my vision due to vitrious tears. These glasses greatly reduce the glare on the spots and reduce the eye strain. They are attractive glasses and very comfortable. I would buy them again.

Yeah, butDec 12, 2009 Yeah they are great for computer glasses, but.....
I had these made as prescription reading glasses, which upon reflection was just not worth the hassle or expense, I would strongly recommend against buying these as prescription glasses. You must go through an eyecare professional to get them and that generally increases costs, they will not sell you just a straight reading set with a +1.0, +1.5 diopter and let you provide PD from your eyecare professional. So essentially as a prescription glasses wearer you are required to add another layer of middleman to the cost structure. That is fundamentally my reason to recommend against these as prescription glasses, cost.
The other more substantive issues are those of quality. While these do relieve eye strain and the frames are remarkably well constructed with a stylish look, a couple of "made in china" issues seem to arise.
First:
The lenses are of generally poor workmanship became severely scratched in about one month despite pretty gentle care on my part. Basically they perform no better than off the shelf readers in that department.
Second,
The frames while being sturdy and stylish, have a finish that is starting to come off after about a one month time frame.
These sort of issues generally arise in unsupervised offshore production environments and in this case may indicate that the facility is scrimping on coating material thickness in an effort to cut costs and that is why I say these are "made in china" issues.
My final advice would be that, if you need a good set of computer glasses without a prescriptive lens, then give these a try if you feel the price is right, but beware that they scratch easily and will look beat up in a rather rapid time frame.
