Description:

Closed circuit. The electricity flows fast in this slimmer silhouette frame. Reduced frame height delivers full coverage performance, the SheaDog ergonomically fits a wide range of face shapes. Low profile temples provide headset compatibility and long haul ergonomics. i-FI lens coatings: i-Fi lens coatings filter and protect. Our proprietary nano-filters help capture all of the good light coming from the computer screen while diffusing the bad reflective light and glare. The outer coating provides a protective layer that shields the lens from scratching, abrasion, and oxidation damage. fRACTYL lens geometry: Computer generated fRACTYL lens geometry mimics nature through advanced science and engineering. Aiding the natural focusing power of the cornea, our lens geometry eases eyestrain caused by near distance computer viewing. fRACTYL lens geometry uses independently curved front and back surfaces to provide unparalleled distortion-free optics. Fused with Gunnar frames, the tightly arced lenses form a personal ocular microclimate that prevents dry eyes. iONik lens tints: iONik lens tints take harsh artificial light and precisely tune it to match the anatomy of the eye. Our custom organic dye compounds condition and shift transmitted light into the preferred color spectrum, increasing visual contrast, detail and resolution. Edges of screen pixilated images read more easily and interfering blue light is reduced -- ultimately your eyes are less fatigued. diAMIX lens material: diAMIX is the next generation of lens materials for those that demand the highest optical qualities.

5Amazing. New iPad dizziness. No moreMay 14, 2010
I can't say enough good things about these. I suffer from extremely bad vertigo. Even the slightest head movements cause me to get massive headaches. I purchased the iPad just last week and was on my way to returning it because it made me nauseous. I couldn't use it for more than 20min without getting a massive headache and sick. I would have to go lay down and rest my eyes. I read it was from eye strain and I came upon these on a blog. I wish I found these sooner. I am a heavy computer user, as an IT project manager I spend all of my workday on a computer. I purchased the iPad to test it's ability at business productivity but was bummed that I was unable to use it.

These just came in today, and i am not one to write. But the difference is amazing. Im sitting here typing on my iPad and no headache or nausea. Thank you Gunnar.

Every now and then I lift up my glasses to look at the screen and I can see why I was having problems. I highly recommend these glasses to anyone who sits in front of a computer all day. What a difference.

4Take some getting used to but they workApr 13, 2010
I'm a photographer who spends hours doing digital editing. Was getting all sorts of eyestrain, furrowing my brow, the works. While I wish I could more easily find this style in the Crystalline (clear) lens, I've found that I have a good judge for colors even with these on. Similar to shooting glasses, these do raise contrast a bit due to the yellow frames. With these on, I'm able to stare at the screen longer without the eyestrain. I will say that for the first couple of weeks, I felt like the lenses (something to do with the geometry, perhaps?) was actually pulling my eyes in a direction that almost felt cross-eyed, but that has passed. The style is very nice. I've never worn glasses before, and I actually like the way these look. Very lightweight, and the case is a nice touch.
