Full coverage. One of our largest frames, SHREDDER presents bold, angular lines and maximum viewable area. Three dimensional temples and precision cut frames with floating, adjustable nose pads for a customizable fit. i-FI lens coatings: i-Fi lens coatings filter and protect. Our proprietary nano-filters help capture all of the good light coming from the computer screen while diffusing the bad reflective light and glare. The outer coating provides a protective layer that shields the lens from scratching, abrasion, and oxidation damage. fRACTYL lens geometry: Computer generated fRACTYL lens geometry mimics nature through advanced science and engineering. Aiding the natural focusing power of the cornea, our lens geometry eases eyestrain caused by near distance computer viewing. fRACTYL lens geometry uses independently curved front and back surfaces to provide unparalleled distortion-free optics. Fused with Gunnar frames, the tightly arced lenses form a personal ocular microclimate that prevents dry eyes. iONik lens tints: iONik lens tints take harsh artificial light and precisely tune it to match the anatomy of the eye. Our custom organic dye compounds condition and shift transmitted light into the preferred color spectrum, increasing visual contrast, detail and resolution. Edges of screen pixilated images read more easily and interfering blue light is reduced -- ultimately your eyes are less fatigued. diAMIX lens material: No existing lens material had all the properties we needed. So we gave our lab techs the task of developing the lightest, most optically pure lens material possible. Beating out polycarbonate on the toughness scale and rivaling the undisputed optics of ground glass, diAMIX is the next generation of lens materials for those that demand the highest optical qualities.

4Just what the doctor should have ordered.Dec 31, 2009
I do (last 20 years) spend an inordinate amount of time in front of a computer and/or TV screen. In fact, I've been waiting for my eyes to finally just go... went to an eye doctor because it was hard for me to keep my eyes from burning after about 8:30PM. He said that the muscles around the eye's cornea begin to 'get old' and focusing becomes more difficult. My vision was fine but he gave me some eye drops to help with the 'tiredness'. If that sounds like you - then these glasses will make a big difference! I've never worn glasses before but these are light, well designed and extremely effective. In addition to the eye strain relief they do provide the type of vision enhancements that you would expect from a pair of marksmanship glasses (good for gaming). My only complaint is that I can see my eyeball reflected back at me from the lense when working on a computer in a dark room. Great for work - not so great for my usual late night computer sessions at home.

5When looking at a computer screen for 12+ hours a day, really helpsNov 27, 2009
As a workaholic software developer, I stare at 1-2 screens for 12+ hours a day. These glasses, while slightly silly looking (coworkers joke I'm going hunting), definitely do reduce eye strain.

Only downside to them is that they smudge really easily (could just be that this is my first pair of non-sun glasses). Definitely need to invest in a cleaning cloth as I probably clean them 4-5 times a day at least.

1DO NOT BUY!!! HORRIBLE PRODUCTNov 22, 2009
In the event you don't want to read my issues with this terrible product I will give you the highlights. The quality of this is horrible. They began to fall apart when the Amazon warranty expired. 9 or so months with the product that the lenses are cracking and breaking apart, most of which have been done when they weren't in use! If you spend this kind of money on glasses, which our eyes are worth, you expect to get something that you could use a year later, 6 months later, or a couple of months later. You will not get that with this product!

If I could give this a worse ranking I would. From the still little reviews I am hoping nobody is as foolish as I was for buying this product. I bought these about 9 months ago and am so completely disgusted at them I want to get rid of them, however I am keep a hold on them as proof to what a horrible product this is. The concept is great. I have worked in the tech sector for 10 years now. When I started putting in 8-14 hour days my eye doctor recommend that he make me a hybrid of my regular glasses and something with a slight magnification (.75). This relived so much eye strain it was almost miraculous. My eyes stopped getting worse. 5 years in I had lasic and was thankful to be away from my glasses. Though I hated wearing glasses I went to my optometrist and had him make me a pair of computer glasses with just the .75. The lowest you can get at the store (reading glasses) is 1.25. They work fine if you cannot get your hands on .75. I could careless how I look while I am typing code so how something looks on me is irrelevant. I have always been an advocate of people who use the computer more than an hour a day to have some help. Our eyes are simply not meant for this kind of work. When I saw this product I thought, wow the slight magnification, tint, and anti glare, this is a computer users dream! And they were, then the quality began to show.

Right when my Amazon warranty expired the screws started to fall out. I was able to fix that. When one day the arm broke as I went to pick them up. Still stunned on how that happened. I was able to fix that too. After all it is the lenses that I liked and needed. I kept them in their sleeve and case. Cleaned them only with approved materials. Over the past months there seemed to be a permanent smudge on the lenses. Then cracks started to appear. Most of which appeared after the glasses were set down for a long period of time and then picked up and wiped gently. WOW! I am actually starting to see what I think are boils on the lenses. I am keeping an eye on them to see if they get any worse. I was kicking myself for not being too careful only to find out that I was treating them as careful as I could and the product was just falling a part. I would hate to cry shananagans if the problem was my doing, but it wasn't. They are cheap and not worth more than 5 dollars for a weekends worth of use. When you spend more than $100.00 on a product you expect it to last more than a year. These have been unusable for 3 months now. Sorry for taking so long to post these findings. I am sorry to whoever bought them if I could have warned them not to.

5They Just WorkJun 01, 2009
I'm on a computer all day in an office with fluorescent lighting. My eyes were killing me and I was getting constant tension headaches by the end of the day. I can't begin to say how much these glasses have helped me. I know they're a bit expensive but they really are worth the money.

5It Works GreatDec 20, 2008
I use these glasses everytime I'm on the computer and I can stay on for a much longer time now. My eyes used to get strained very easily before I got these glasses and now they never do. These are the best!
